I booked this hotel through Priceline.com for $85. I was told by Biddingfortravel.com that I could have gotten a resort for that price. Next time, I'll bid lower. Nice, older hotel, but in good condition. Very large room (835) with Condado city views and ocean towards the right.

I also booked this room through Priceline.com for $65! I was very happy with that price for a resort. Lovely grounds, very nice room with view of Condado. Room 823. The bottled water in the room, was marked $7. That was nuts! There's a convenience store around the corner - get your bottled water and wine there.
The hotel has 4 expensive restaurants. We dined in the Madrid restaurant located in the tower building. Excellent food: veal chop; Asopao de Mariscos (seafood soup).
Although I liked the hotel and the amenities, there are no other restaurants in the area. The only way to get around from the hotel is either a 40 minute walk into Old San Juan or via taxi. I much prefer the Condado area with its many restaurants and .25 cent bus ride.
