This photo was taken when I was in Kusadasi, Turkey in October 2007. It had rained lightly earlier in the day and these were the only flowers around. They are so delicate looking.
Kusadasi, a port city, is the main stop for tourists heading to the ancient site of Ephesus. I had the opportunity to tour the various sights, including the Celsus library, the Temple of Hadrian, and the Roman theatre. Nearby Ephesus is the House of the Virgin Mary, where she apparently lived in the final years of her life.
