My friend Charity and I went to the Conowingo Dam in Darlinging Maryland. It's known for bald eagles.
It was a balmy 19 to 26 degrees. While we bundled up, we could have layered even more. My toes were so cold that I inserted small hand warmers, which helped.
Here are a few photos that I took with my new Tamron 150-600mm lens. It's very heavy to hold, so I had a hard time taking photos of the birds in flight - they move pretty quickly.
